Paul started working with and showing dogs when he was a teenager. From there he went into the Air Force and was a K-9 handler in the Security Police. He has been training bird dogs since 1970, when he started working for a kennel while in college. The Doiron's bought the kennel two years later when the owner’s retired.
If your dog has natural ability, Paul will bring it out in them. The bond he builds with the dogs and his ability to understand what they need, helps in making them a successful hunting or field trial dog. He trains all pointing breeds.
The Doiron's have been campaigning Field Trial Dogs since 1975, starting in American Field trials. They moved to their current location in 1979, and trained both retrievers and pointing dogs. In 1994, they started working with Brittanys. They currently train and campaign Brittanys around the country.
If you’re looking for a good trial dog training program, they start young dogs at six months of age, “finishing” a dog varies by the individual. Hunting dog training can also vary by dog and level of training expected, Paul will provide honest assessment throughout the process.
